When braces beat aligners
Braces stay on the teeth, which makes them the better tool when the movement required is significant, when precise control matters, or when wearing aligners consistently would be a real burden.
Dr. Khan will tell you which approach she recommends for your case and why — and if both would work, she will say that too, and let the decision be yours.
What treatment looks like
Braces are placed in one or two appointments. After that, visits are periodic and brief — adjustments, progress checks, and answering whatever has come up since the last visit.
You will know at each stage what is happening and roughly what comes next. Soreness after adjustments is normal and usually short-lived; the office will tell you how to manage it.
