Meet Dr. Khan

Dr. Rehana Khan is a specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. She treats children, teens, and adults, and she takes the complex and surgical cases many practices refer elsewhere. More about Dr. Khan.

She has taken over Dr. Lee's practice and can't wait to welcome you — his patients, their families, and the neighborhood that knew this office by its old name.

You are welcome here, and there is nothing to re-establish. The office is in the same suite you already know, the phone number you have is still the right one, and the door you used is the door you would use again.

All of Dr. Lee's patient records were handed over to us for continued care, so your chart is here.

Where X-rays are taken

Your appointments are still at 1127 Wilshire Blvd., in the suite you know. X-rays are the one exception: the imaging equipment, including the panoramic X-ray, is at Dr. Khan's Santa Monica office, so that is where X-rays are taken. If The Best Brace Place is where you or your children had braces, that is the one part of a visit that is no longer where it used to be — better known before you come in than after.

About Dr. Lee's practice

Dr. James T. Lee is board certified, holds a specialty certificate in Orthodontics from USC, and was in solo private practice at this address from 1977.

A practice that runs at one address for that long is built on people returning and sending their families. That is the thing being continued here, and it is the reason this page exists rather than a quiet name change.

Finding us in DTLA

The office sits in a good downtown spot with easy access off Wilshire — five minutes by car, or about a fifteen-minute walk from the heart of downtown, without fighting through the central grid. That makes it straightforward whether you are coming from Echo Park, Silver Lake or Pasadena, the Westside, the Valley, or the 210.

Parking is ample, with easy in and out, and no validation to worry about. There is street parking nearby on a clean, palm-lined block that is genuinely pleasant to walk. The office itself is brand new.

The views from inside are wide open across downtown, which makes the visit feel calmer than a trip to the orthodontist usually does.

Hungry before or after? Togo's and Sweet Lady Jane are both just down the street.
